A Roundup of Instagram Meals

Last month, I announced the launch of my Whole Nourishment Instagram account. Since then, a lot's been happening over there. I've posted everyday meal ideas, ingredients I'm loving and stocking my pantry with, and behind-the-scenes snapshots and videos of daily life in San Francisco.

I don't want you to miss out on all this, especially those of you not on Instagram. So below is a roundup of a few favorite Instagram posts that I've not shared anywhere else.

This is hands-down, my favorite meal of the spring 🌿. It's got it all: gut-supporting spices, healthy fats, grounding protein, immune-boosting phytonutrients, and TONS of flavor and fun, all in one bowl 🍲 πŸ™ŒπŸΌβ €

I start with Heidi's Green Lentil Soup with Curried Brown Butter. Then I top it off with semi-dried cherry tomatoes and greens sauteed in coconut oil with fresh ginger and lemon πŸ‹ πŸ…πŸ₯₯

Happy Wednesday! This isn't a formal recipe but I've given it the name, Sunshine Granola Bowl 🌞 because it's so happy. It's your familiar and friendly "breakfast next door" granola and yogurt.....elevated. I love it for weekdays because it's quick to throw together, filling, and super satisfying πŸ˜‹β €
β €
The base is natural yogurt of choice (if using coconut yogurt πŸ₯₯, I like to add collagen powder for a much-needed protein boost) mixed with a splash of plant milk, chia seeds, sometimes hemp, a generous scattering of cinnamon pecan granola (recipe on the blog), fresh mango, and bee pollen πŸβ €

This Roasted Salmon & Broccoli Bowl is one of my favorite meals as of late πŸ₯¦β €

Roasted salmon gets a Waldorf-inspired salad makeover. It's flaked and combined with celery, lemon, raisins, dill, and mayo. Top it with quick-pickled onions (because….what doesn't benefit from pickled onions?). Add a generous side of fresh greens, steamed broccoli, avocado, sundried tomatoes, and sauerkraut. Drizzle with a bit of balsamic, and you've got the happiest of happy meals πŸ‹πŸŒ±πŸ…πŸ₯‘β €

Vegans, instead of salmon, make the Chickpea "Tuna" Salad on the blog πŸ‘ˆπŸΌπŸ‘€πŸ™…πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸŸ

[Video!] This is not yoga or pilates or a HIIT workout. It's simple stretching.πŸƒπŸ‘ As I've acquired tools to slow down my daily pace and single-task, I've found that my body craves stretching. [Read more here.]

In other news, it's been three weeks since we arrived in San Francisco. And I'm happy to announce that we've moved into our home in Sausalito! But we're operating with temporary (minimal) furniture, including in the kitchen, until our container arrives mid-July.

I'll take a short break from blogging during this period so I can get a few things set up. I'll be studying the lighting in our new house to identify best areas for photoshoots. And I'll be searching for similar marble backdrops for the sake of continuity in look and feel with the Madrid photos. I'll also try to purchase a few ceramic pieces so I can get back online here ASAP and not be tied to the (unpredictable) arrival date of our container.

Instagram posts will keep going though! If you want to stay updated with fun, casual posts like the ones above (plus behind-the-scenes snapshots of daily life in San Francisco), I hope you'll follow along on Instagram! Head over to @whole.nourishment to follow. But remember, if you don't have an account you can see the posts, but you won't be able to "like", comment, or watch the "stories" that expire after 24 hours.
